The Quote That Helped Explode My MLM Business
I was having a chat with one of my mentors, a fantastic woman called Jackie. Jackie is the most enthusiastic person I think I have ever met and I was so lucky to have her as a personal mentor. Many of the things you will hear from me have come from Jackie. There is an important message here. Find a mentor, somebody who truely inspires you, and follow their example.
I remember one time, we had recruited a record number of people one month into our business. Unfortunately, I think we also had a record number of people in our team who were inactive. I was discussing this with Jackie, explaining what we were doing, asking how we could improve things and she replied -
“Dave, the runners will run, the walkers will walk, thinkers will think and talkers will talk, quitters will quit, but you know what, you wont give a damn, because you will be too busy.”
When I thought back on what she had told me, I realised that I couldn’t change people. I could lead people and I could inspire people, but ultimately I could not change them. So, rather than worry about the quitters and the talkers and the thinkers, In concentrated my efforts on the runners and my business moved on. Of course, the walkers, thinkers and talkers all have a place in any business, and I learned from Jackie that I should “value everybody, but rely on nobody but myself“.

The fouth cup represents the ideal way to be a student. It is upright, receiving what is taught, it has no holes and retaining what is taught. It is clear, open to learning something new.
Make sure you are like the fourth cup. Please don’t just read this post, study it.
